Hi, I'm Erin Justice...

Twinkle, twinkle little star. How I wonder what you are.  Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky.

This is the song that started it all. While my Dad pushed me on that old swing set in the back yard we would sing this sweet song together. Even at such a young age, singing was what made me happy.  It was what I loved most and what I was best at.  In the words of Jamey Johnson, “It’s not just what I do, it’s who I am.”

There is a comfort that lies within this place that offers endless song inspiration. Only God could create such a sight.

I grew up in a very close family. We have each other’s “backs,” as they say. Knowing my love of music, my parents provided and still provide unconditional support. I took piano lessons and sang in church as much as possible. My parents even allowed me to sing at the kitchen table! Music was a big part of my Grandmother’s life too. She was and currently is the choir director at her church and still sings often. I like to think I took after her.

Throughout school I was largely involved in various choral groups and in college became a part of the praise and worship team at my local church. I attended Western Carolina University, where I graduated with two Bachelor’s degrees in Education and Public Relations.  In college is where I realized I not only had a knack for singing but for songwriting as well. After graduation I became an elementary school teacher. After one year there I knew I wasn’t doing what I should be. Music was my passion and where I found my delight in the world. So in February 2009 I took a leap of faith and moved to Nashville.

Since then I have met some of the most talented singer/songwriters the nation has to offer and had a chance to co-write with some of them. Just this Spring I was involved in a singer/songwriter competition where I won first place! I had the most unbelievable opportunity to open up for country star, Craig Morgan. I will never forget that night! I continue to write and play my music every day and am proud to say that I am living my dream.

So, if you’re ever in Nashville and hear my name, remember that I am just a simple girl from a small town who fell in love with music by singing a lullaby with her Dad.  A girl that follows her dreams and is doing what she does best. A girl whose story is just beginning….
